Family Assistance Program (FAP)

Formerly known as Family Support Services (FSS)

Muskingum County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) is now partnering with Mid East Ohio Regional Council (MEORC) in administering our Family Assistance Program. The eligibility guidelines will remain the same; however, changes have been made to simplify the overall process and procedure for families.

What is the Family Assistance Program?

A locally funded program that provides reimbursement to families with a child or adult who is developmentally disabled and living at home. The program covers services for respite care, family counseling, education/training, special diets, special equipment or home modifications.

How to Apply?

If you would like to apply for family assistance, contact Stacey Hurlow at MEORC (740-397-4733, option 3) OR contact Lisa Clark at MCBDD (740-453-4829, ext. 1234) OR complete an application online at www.MEORC.com.

Then What?

Your application will be reviewed and eligibility will be determined. You will be contacted with a confirmation of your allocation and family share percentage. When funding is needed, contact Stacey Hurlow at MEORC to access your funds. Remember, ALL purchases and/or services MUST be pre-approved.
